Well, first off i just want to say that I think i may be the first person to have ever bought this album off of iTunes. I was on the page wandering when the album was gonna be released, and then it updated as i was sitting here and the album was just all the sudden there lol. so i clicked buy right off the bat! and I love the album. Bruno Mars rights the best love songs of the last 10 years, and has an amazing voice..A completly new style of pop, and one of the few if not the only pop singer who is as talented and can sing the notes that he sings without auto tune! Just an amazing person, and singer/songwriter who deserves the attention that he is and will be getting!

Rancid | Indestructible | mp3

After pursuing various solo projects, the four members of Rancid reconvened for Indestructible, an album that synthesizes 1998’s Life Won’t Wait and 2000’s Rancid. Life Won’t Wait had given group leader Tim Armstrong the opportunity to explore his interest in Jamaican music and R&B, while Rancid had been a return to the pure street punk that is the passion of guitarist and singer Lars Frederiksen. Indestructible gives each player the chance to spotlight his style. Frederiksen’s “Out of Control” is a vicious piece of antiauthoritarian punk rock, while the piano-infused “Arrested in Shanghai” is one of Armstrong’s most moving story songs. However, the album fares best when the pair fuses their ideas. “Tropical London,” “Travis Bickle,” and “Red Hot Moon” combine the flavor of ska and the angry determination of hardcore and each song is superlative. Against a rising tide of personal stresses and distractions, Indestructible managed to unite Rancid’s divergent opinions. The band even threw in a few sterling pop anthems. “Fall Back Down” and “Start Now” have all the ragged charm of the band’s 1995 crossover hit “Ruby Soho.”

There were many who said that it couldn't be done, that a respectable and novel follow up to the career reviving and defining American Idiot was impossible and anything that came out would not and could not match it. I've got to say though that 21st Century Breakdown is this unimaginable album. 21st Century Breakdown does not follow directly in American's footsteps but makes a new trail, reviving some of the old style of past Green Day while adding some new, unexpected ones that truly makes this album the trio's best album to date. Another great Rock Opera from a great band.
